After the pantomime in the winter of 2022, an opportunity had arisen in the form playing the role of Lola again but this time, in the Alhambra theatre in Dunfermline. After the first kinky boots my goal and dream was to perform in a theatre, any theatre. Sadly after 3 auditions, I was informed that 'I hadn't been successful in achieving the role of Lola/Simon'.

I have a firm belief that when one door closes another opens and as it would have it, just a few weeks later The Lyric Club Glasgow were auditioning for the same part, where was the venue? The King's Theatre!

I couldn't believe it. So I again auditioned for the part of Lola/Simon.

I did it. I got the part. This then would come to be the start of the next part of my journey. The show was fantastic, the cast were brilliant and the reception from everyone who knows me was just utterly special.

 

I'll never forget my theatre debut and what was only my second ever stage show appearance. Onward.
